Calling All Artists: Compete in Wetumpka’s Premier Live Painting Competition!

Wetumpka’s Battle of the Brushes is set to be a creative showdown like no other, where U.S. artists will bring their brushes to life in a high-energy, family-friendly painting competition.

Key Event Details:

• Registration Deadline: April 15, 2025

• Location: Wetumpka Civic Center, 410 S Main St., Wetumpka, Alabama

• Eligibility: Open to U.S. citizens aged 16 and older. Contestants aged 16-17 require written guardian permission.

• Competition Fee: $35 (includes a 16x20 canvas provided at the event).

 

This exciting event is limited to 50 contestants, with spaces filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists will have 4 hours to create a masterpiece based on a randomly selected theme.

 

The competition promises a dynamic atmosphere, with the public invited to watch as contestants transform blank canvases into stunning works of art. Judging will remain anonymous, ensuring a fair and inspiring contest.

 

In addition to the main competition, artists have the opportunity to showcase and sell up to two additional pieces of art onsite, offering a unique chance to connect with art enthusiasts and collectors.
